He pointed out that Good News International Church under its leader Paul Mackenzie is an illegal denomination that has been forcing people to fast to death and killing others who object to it.

“We as the government we don’t have a problem with any religion and we are not fighting the church at all we are also serious Christians ourselves but we will continue to correct a few churches and pastors who use the bible wrongly to intimidate and exploit innocent Kenyans,” the CS said while speaking to faithful at Saint Joseph Benedict Cottolengo Catholic Church in Mwanganthia Ward, Imenti Central, Meru County.

Adding;

“Even Jesus did not tell people to fast and die instead he fed the 5000 people so those telling others not to eat are just agent of the devil and the church should come out strongly to condemn them.”

Kindiki noted that the constitution has given freedom of worship and the government will not allow politicians to incite Christians and fuel unnecessary conflict.

This comes barely days after Azimio leader Raila Odinga visited Shakahola in Kilifi where he was denied entrance.

Reacting to the incident, Kindiki told off Raila calling on him to stop politicking a criminal offence where the lives of innocent Kenyans were taken.

“This time we are not going to sympathize or fear anybody so am warning those making careless remarks and noise politicking a criminal act that we are coming for you irrespective of your political class or status,” he stated.

They later visited Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New life church who was arrested in question for the mass killing at Shakahola forest.

Kindiki stated that the government will ruthlessly deal with the criminals involved in the killings regardless of their association and influence.

“Nobody is going to shake us or intimidate us on this matter where about 112 innocent Kenyans have been massacred in fact we are coming for you irrespective of your political class. We are going to give the culprits the most painful punishment ever found in the books of law and those trying to sympathize the killers will not stop us, “he added.
