According to the weatherman’s outlook for Saturday, rainfall is expected to continue over some parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the South Rift Valley, the South-eastern lowlands and the Coast.

For most parts of the country, rain is expected over a few places in the morning, showers and thunderstorms over several places in the afternoon and showers over a few places at night.

Nairobi will experience cloudy, sunny intervals with an average minimum temperature of 17 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 24 degrees Celsius.

Mombasa will experience sunny intervals with an average minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius.

Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nyeri and other towns will experience rain and sunny intervals with varied temperatures.

On Friday night, heavy rains caused flooding in parts of Nairobi, while earlier in the morning River Nyando in Kisumu County burst its banks for the second time this year.

Thousands of families were displaced after River Nyando overflowed, causing flooding amid ongoing heavy rainfall in several parts of the country.

The affected families are now seeking refuge along the highway as they wait for support from the Kenya Red Cross Action Team in collaboration with the National and County Governments.
