The remains of Silvano Tubei a former Managing Director of the Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) who went missing 12 years ago were finally interred today.
His burial brings to a close the families’ search for more than a decade.
Silvano’s remains were initially buried in a shallow grave in his home in Chepkurmum Elgeyo Marakwet in December 2023 by a farm worker.
They would later be exhumed in January this year for further DNA testing to ascertain his identity.
The deceased was reported to have left his home on September 12/2012 and was never seen or heard from despite several attempts by the family seeking answers on his mysterious disappearance.
At the time of his disappearance, Silvano Tubei then aged 58 years was caught up in the controversy around the Kimwarer and Arror dams.
He is survived by two children and a spouse.
His wife is currently in police custody as investigations continue on the motive behind his chilling murder.
