China has urged Kenyans to be patient with the rollout of the Bottom-up Economic Transformative Agenda.
Outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Zhou Pingjian said China had walked the same path to get where it is currently.
The envoy was speaking during a farewell cocktail hosted in his honour by the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party.
He further hailed President William Ruto’s policies noting that he was on the right track to transforming the economic fortunes of Kenyans.
“UDA is practicing what CPC has been doing over the years, and it has worked. This Kazi ni Kazi, the hustler narrative, the bottom-up agenda will work,” said the outgoing ambassador.
Party Secretary General Hassan Omar led other officials and members of the UDA Secretariat in bidding farewell to Pingjian.
Pingjian is one of the notable ambassadors in Kenya and his departure marks the end of a significant diplomatic tenure.
Omar said the footprint that the outgoing ambassador had left in Kenya would be felt in years to come.
Also present were Party National Treasurer Japheth Nyakundi and Executive Director Mr Nicodemus Bore.
