President William Ruto asserted on Saturday that he is striving to improve the situation in the country.

Ruto, who shared a podium with his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta in Embu County during the consecration of Catholic Bishop Peter Kimani, told the fourth President that he is on a path to making Kenya great.

“Nataka nimwambie kiongozi wetu aliyestaafu Rais Uhuru Kenyatta, ile kazi uliniachia mimi nangangana nayo mbaya sana. Nasukuma kusukuma,” he said.

He cited the continuation of numerous programmes initiated by the previous administration, as well as new projects he has launched that he stated would change Kenya’s development landscape.

Ruto reiterated his commitment to ensuring these programmes succeed for the benefit of Kenyans.

He acknowledged the challenges faced by certain programmes, such as healthcare, as highlighted by Catholic Bishops this week. He stated that his administration is taking all necessary steps to ensure that everything operates smoothly.
