The list of the final 16 teams for the CAF Champions League quarterfinal will be decided this weekend in the final round of group matches.
Five teams have already booked their slots in the last 16 after round 5 matches among them Sudan’s Al Hilal Omdurman, defending champions Al Ahly of Egypt, Moroccan side AS FAR, Orlando Pirates from South Africa, Esperance of Tunisia, and Pyramids FC of Egypt.
The final 11 slots will be filled this weekend after the conclusion of the group matches.
In Group A, Yanga of Tanzania will host MC Alger from Algeria on Saturday evening, with the host in a must-win situation while the visitors need only a draw to advance.
Alger lies 2nd with 8 points, a point ahead of Yanga.
In Group B, Raja Casablanca of Morocco will be away to the already eliminated AS Maniema of Congo, as AS FAR, who leads the group, will also be away in Pretoria against 2nd placed Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa.
