Mutua announced the demise of his father on Thursday night, November 28, 2024, via his Facebook page.

While recollecting their past fun moments, Mutua shared a lovely photo of him with his dad having a son father moments stating that such evenings will be no more but he will forever cherish the fond memories.

“Such evenings will be no more, but in everything, we give thanks and cherish the fond memories. I have lost a great friend. Go well, dad, “Mutua mourned.

In addition, Mutua went on to disclose that his dad passed on at the age of 100 years adding that he witnessed the First and Second World Wars.

Apart from witnessing both wars, he was also privileged to see his fourth generation noting that even though his departure is painful he has left a rich legacy.

“Not many get the privilege of reaching 100 years and departing the world surrounded by their great, great, grandchildren. Dad saw the First and the Second World Wars and has experienced virtually all the famines and epidemics in recorded history. As we went through the process at the Funeral Home last night, one lady’s family member was inconsolable,”

“Other family members present cuddled up to comfort her, then it dawned on me that she was actually dad’s first granddaughter and that she too has grandchildren and was the first to give my parents the pride and privilege of seeing their 4th generation. Dad’s departure is painful but he has left such a rich legacy,” he added.

The message attracted numerous messages of condolences from his followers with some concluding that Dr Mutua’s father must have been adorable, judging from his past post.

The MCSK boss’s mother passed in February 2023.

“Nothing prepared us for mum’s departure. She woke up fine yesterday, took breakfast and rested peacefully in her seat at the particular spot she loved to sit at the verandah of her house,”

“In retrospect, I think God was preparing us for her departure, but we didn’t realise it. Now, these moments bear true meaning. Go well, mum. Thank you all for your comforting words,Mum… just hope that it’s a bad dream.” he mourned.
