Popular preacher and church proprietor Bishop Muthee ‘Ben’ Kiengei has finally met online influencer Pritty Vishy, a day after he apologized to her over his defamatory remarks.
Early this week, Kiengei sparked controversy after appearing to openly mock and body shame Pritty Vishy in a recent interview in an online show.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, the controversial preacher shared a statement via his official Facebook account stating that he had met Pritty Vishy and her manager Sharon Samba.
Kiengei heaped praises on Pritty Vishy describing her as a good, clean and vibrant soul that needed to meet him.
He went ahead to note that although he had met the digital content creator in an uncomfortable scenario, their meeting had marked a new life for Pritty Vishy.
Kiengei went on to state that they had forgiven each other, and brought on board investors who have offered to give the influencer brand ambassadorial jobs.
He listed five brands, ranging from tours and travels, online shopping to real estate, as the companies that will be now using Pritty Vishy as their official influencer and brand ambassador.
Kiengei in his apology had said that he has admitted his wrongdoings adding that he went overboard with his expensive utterance.
Additionally, the man of cloth asked Pritty to forgive him and that she is welcome to join his church.
“Pritty Vishy I am really sorry and I take this moment to highly apologise for mentioning your name in a show where I went overboard and mentioned you in the wrong way. Get a space in your heart to forgive me for addressing you in the wrong way,” he apologized.
“This will never happen in future, I take it as my mistake. Pole my sister na karibu sana JCM Church kanisa la watu wote.“
Pritty Vishy had, however, declined the bishop’s apology stating that she wants it done the same way he made the disrespectful comments.
“When you widely opened your mouth to abusē me did you send your assistant ama ni yeye alikuandikia line? If you wanna talk to me talk to me directly, and before that I don’t want a written apology. I want a video, the same way you sat down and made that disrespectful video, do the same on the apology…don’t send pēoplē to me kwani walikusaidia kucheka?” she said.
